I always check the Box Office results every weekend. IGN used to do an article every week where they would list the box office results. They still do the article but they don't list the Top 10 or the Total Gross. So I'd figure I'd do it. Here are the results for the Domestic Box Office for the weekend of June 3-5, complete with the weekend and total grosses:

1. Top Gun: Maverick: $85,999,989 ($291,604,000)

2. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: $9,251,000 ($388,711,116)

3. The Bob's Burgers Movie: $4,500,000 ($22,240,149)

4. The Bad Guys: $3,339,675 ($87,291,000)

5. Downton Abbey: A New Era: $2,999,710 ($35,702,000)

6. Everything Everywhere All at Once: $2,020,892 ($60,561,935)

7. Vikram: $1,770,000 ($1,770,000)

8. Sonic the Hedgehog 2: $1,724,877 ($188,269,000)

9. The Lost City: $1,379,851 ($104,012,000)

10. Crimes of the Future: $1,100,000 ($1,100,000)

My Thoughts

Tom Cruise can't be stopped. Guy is a living legend. Top Gun has now grossed $548,604,000 Worldwide.

Marvel is tryna close in on another Billy with Doctor Strange. It now has grossed $909,411,116 Worldwide. Iont know tho, Tom Cruise may have just come through and crushed the buildings. Tom doing Marvel like he did Oprah.

Everything Everywhere All at Once, another multiverse movie, that I need to see, is in it's 11th week. It didn't make it into 2000+ theaters until it's 22nd day. It's now grossed $78,118,800. That's what they call "legs" in the biz.

The Lost City, which is now streaming on Epix, had already crossed the $100 mill threshold which traditionally signifies a "Blockbuster." It's still pulling in near $1.4 mill in it's 11th week. Sandra Bullock got legs for days.

Jurassic World: Dominion had the third-widest release of all time (4,676 theaters) behind Top Gun: Maverick and 2019's The Lion King. It opened at only 2% behind 2018’s’s Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ($148.0M). It's also grossed $392,489,625 worldwide already. Them dinos ain't extinct.

But more importantly, Bryce Dallass Howard's ass puts asses in seats.

Tom Cruise stays winning with Top Gun. It only declined by 42.4% from last week. Very impressive when you consider Jurassic World. Top Gun still locked down the #10 third weekend of all time. It's now grossed $748,899,280 worldwide. Tom Cruise is on cruise control to the money.

Doctor Strange continues to inch it's way to a billion. It's now grossed $930,537,923 worldwide. Can it get there? You know Disney is gonna try. Maybe Strange can hit everybody with a spell that let's us think his movie grossed a billion bucks :ohhh:

Don't cast that spell, Strange.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is sprinting towards 400 million. It's now grossed $397,677Z,243 worldwide and should get there this week. It's now out grossed Sonic the Hedgehog $397,677Z,243 to $319,715,683. Not bad for the lil blue guy.

You made a few dollars. Now knock that shyt off nikka.

Everything Everywhere All at Once continues to do the impossible, as it secured it's 11th weekend in the top 10. It's now grossed $83,529,614 worldwide. It's domestic gross of $63,066,626 is the all-time high for A24, ahead of Uncut Gems, which grossed 50 million in 2019. It's on demand now so I'ma watch it on Cinema HD and see if the hype is real.

My Thoughts

Jurassic World: Dominion has now grossed $622,186,690 Worldwide. It fell 59.6% from last week's debut. That's right in line with Fallen Kingdom second weekend, which grossed $60,912,195 and fell 58.8%. It was even shown in 21 more theaters (4,697) than last week.

Obligatory

To infifty one million and not beyond. Lightyear was projected to gross $70 million. It has grossed $85,600,000 Worldwide, though. This was the first Pixar movie to be released in theaters since 2020's Onward. Lightyear now holds the title for best domestic opening for an animated movie since the start of the Pandemic in March 2020. So there's that. Maybe it had something to do with Knockoff Buzz :yeshrug:

toy-story-woody.gif

Top Gun: Maverick has now crossed the $450 million mark and has grossed $885,168,000 Worldwide. It's going over $900 mill this week. With a $419 million International gross, it could have a legit shot of clearing a billion bucks. Tom Cruise stays cruising to the money.

ride-happy.gif

Meanwhile, Doctor Strange 2, just crossed the $400 million mark domestically but has now been out grossed by a full $60 million by Top Gun 2. Tom Cruise did that in 3 fewer weeks. I bet they wish they got him to play that Superior Ironman :Phantom:

Doctor Strange 2 has now grossed $942,483,660 Worldwide. Can it reach a billion?
