nah has nothing to do with strength or weakness but in understanding. I don't know what any of those people saw before they died, neither do you so don't assume. I know people who have dealt with some of that crap you're talking about and found peace in it, that was their journey though not mine or yours. I know people suffer, that's part of the human condition and a "blip" on the radar when you take into account we're talking about ETERNAL peace and happiness.

And if you're only thanking God for the good shyt then you're not doing it right IMHO....nor are you focused on doing what you've been called to do.
