But the early seasons were entertaining. It's a show driven a lot more by characters, especially the lead character, than it is by plot or storyline.

cant normally fukk with new shows unless i catch the pilot..

They had 2 seasons of it on Netflix which I watched many months ago and liked. The third just got added but I never hear anyone talking about it, here or outside and they just started a 6th season???

Yeah I liked both seasons, would watch them one after the other.

Im actually cool with weeds even in weaker seasons (well Im still in the process of finishing it, on season 6 right now, somewhere midway)...main problem besides going away from suburban satire with weeds is they made it more of a drama with no real characters to care about or even plausible drama really. like it has a severe identity crisis. but I feel like the move away from suburban satire of seasons 1-3 was kinda warranted, theres only so much you can satirize in suburbia before you start repeating yourself

so actually another question, is californication funny ? or is it more of a drama ? I dont think Im that interested in a suburbs drama unless it has some exceptional writing

Ayesha it's funny, kind of intelligent funny not cheesy. You'll like the main character, he drinks and fukks bytches lol. Watch thr first episode or 2 and you can see if it applies to your liking

It's a funny show. I just wrapped up season 4, plenty of funny moments.
