So I have a friend whose wife is from Venezuela and every time they argue she hits him throws things at him and curses him out. Then after phones him crying and says sorry that she is that way because she is a Latina and is fiery and feisty. The other day is was advising him and told him he is in a toxic relationship and that he isn’t setting a good example for his kids and the fool goes on to regurgitate her whole Latina excuse. I am looking at him like we all know that if it was a black woman that acted like that she would be labelled as ghetto and trash etc… So how come “Latinas” are allowed to use that “Oh I am Latina and am feisty and can’t be tamed” excuse? Shouldn’t they be equally labelled as trash and ghetto like in behaviour for acting out of line.

I honestly think the exotic-ness is an offset to the bad attitude. This goes for both genders. I dont think its any different to how black women got all types of standards for black men, but pick any random white dude(irregardless of wealth or toughness). Its not fair, but it is what it is.

Your friend's wife having issues have nothing to do with her being Latina. Not all Latinas are monolithic. Not all Black women are monolithic.

Women with fukked up attitudes are such because they aren't emotionally mature, lack communication skills and is unwilling to resolve any issues that they may have accumulated from their past.
