Why the hell do I still have to go to the theaters to watch a movie?

Shouldn't this shyt already be online?

I enjoy the theater experience and it can be amazing.
Huge screen.
Unbelievable sound system.

But sometimes it's just a pain in the ass. Especially if a new movie is out and it's going to be crowded.
Or if you just don't want to drive or leave the house on a given day.

If we can pay for Netflix and Hulu (but seriously, nobody uses Hulu :mjlol:) why can't they post these movies online? :ld:

This bullshyt just forces people to download bootlegs

You sound :flabbynsick: and lazy as fukk breh.

I'll entertain you with a sincere answer just so Liquid can't be his bytch self tho.

Short answer, it generates the most money that way and you rather already explained it on an artistic, entertainment level. Movies are MADE for the silver screen and putting them immediately online may detract from the first point. That said, they actually DO just that for the occasional smaller film tho.

Lazy?
You fukkin wanker.

By your logic it's lazy to have Netflix because people just didn't want to drive to Hollywood Video or Blockbuster

I actually like the idea but I don't see them doing that unless they found a way to stomp out piracy for good. I know I would pay for that kind of service even if dudes were putting pirated copies online.

i love going to the theater... but only for blockbusters at this point. I see all the Marvel movies, I'll see every Star Wars, DC, a few others sprinkled here and there.

I really don't see any reason to go for mid level movies that aren't spectacles. I don't even watch a lot of those on my big screen HD tv, i watch rips on my pc and I'm fine with it.

people telling me how dumb i was for watching Hateful Eight on my computer... first of all, i'm not a film nerd in the sense I give a rat's ass about aspect ratio. most people who hyped that probably didn't even know what the fukk it meant. and what did i miss in the theater? nicer shots of snow? the shyt took place in a cabin. I'm sure Revenant looked really good on the big screen, but at no point did I think "man, this would be so much better for $13.

I used to go all the time for big time comedies too, but i think I'm done there as well - at least not on opening weekend. the crowd ruins it. I'm not seeing Deadpool til next week b/c i already know a$$holes are overlaughing to death. I saw crappy movies like Hangover 2 and Dumb and Dumber To on opening weekend and missed 75% of the dialogue b/c people were laughing so much. They essentially forced me to watch a movie i didn't want to watch for a 2nd time again just to see if i missed any gold. Far be it from me to tell you how to enjoy yourself... but shut the fukk up. At least pipe down a bit. Nothing is as funny as you're making it seem. Stop laughing at jokes that have been in every trailer. Stop laughing in anticipation for a joke you haven't ever heard yet. Stop repeating lines back. Stop nudging your stupid friends after a joke, etc.

... I ain't mad though.
