Why Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, Taker, & Bret Were Not on Raw Last Night

WZ has learned from sources inside WWE that the reason The Undertaker, Bret Hart and other big name legends weren't used on Raw last night was because Stone Cold Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels weren't available.

As reported, Austin and HBK were both in Las Vegas for a hunting convention which is why they weren't in Houston for RAW.

Because those two could not make it, WWE decided to drop any plans of using other big name legends, most notably The Undertaker and Bret Hart. The feeling was they didn't want to have a bunch of legendary names on RAW and it draw attention or heat on Austin and Michaels for not being there.

Mick Foley was there obviously for the Hall of Fame announcement.

As for Ric Flair being there, his appearance was justified as he was on RAW a few weeks ago and is slowly being worked back in as a regular role player on WWE programming.

Jim Ross also noted on Twitter that both Austin and HBK had a long standing commitment to appear at the SHOT convention, and that fans needed to "lighten up" over the two Hall of Famers not appearing on Raw.

Now i got no problem with them not being there, but what i do i have a problem with them knowing well in advance they would not be there but still letting the rumors run wild. That is Bullshyt

its not just them
any wrestler who was featured on raw, and is at the very least on a Legends contract should of been on
the fact the only foley and flair were the only guys not currently active on the show was ridiculous

No problem if Steve or HBK wanted to not show but the fan perception is hypocritical. Had Rock not showed up It would have been "Oh he's too hollywood" "He's sold out" but when its the IWC favorites not showing to a important event, Excuses come out the woodwork
