Why Popeyes' service be so damn slow even when they only have a few customers?

It was 2 cars in the drive-thru and 2 customers in the store but it still took almost 15 minutes, and I did a mobile order.

A lot of these fast food places are understaffed. I went to Wendy’s the other day and they locked the door because they didn’t have enough staff, crazy thing is I was in there 15 minutes before and there was barely any staff there. Maybe the low staff count and having to fry so much chicken make them take so long?
