He thought they had the momentum and catch Alabama with no huddle. The play call was ass anyway, so he should've spiked it.

it pretty much decided the game and will be analyze ti death from now and till next season so it deserves its own thread

Spiking it may have been the wiser decision, but if the ball wasn't tipped at the line than its a mute point. Kind if like how Saban went for the two point conversion in the third. If they didn't convert we'd probably be talking about that now since UGA would only have needed a FG, but they did convert

there would have been one more play after, if he would have slapped it down

lets say there was only time for one, you still have to spike it. if only for the few realtime seconds it gives you at the line, instead of having no communication when everyone is running up to the line

that was my main beef with the whole thing, they were rushing when there was really no need too.

The play/tipped pass decided the game...not the decision to not spike it.

I agree they should have killed the clock, MIGHT have gotten them an extra shot at the end zone. But the play didn't fail because they didn't clock it.
