The Wire and The Sopranos get a lot of praise in the Film Room, but Deadwood seems to get overlooked out of the early 00s HBO renaissance. Hell I think I’ve seen Six Feet Under get more mentions than Deadwood

Language was tough to follow

The preacher was annoying the first two seasons, he had a punchable face.

The playwright in the third season was useless.

Kim dikken's the whore that can't act right portrayal get old quick, she's okay In The movie, it's a good thing we didn't get a fourth season.

I tried to get my mom to watch, she complained it lacked scenery, it's bar, then hotel, hardware store and back again. There's a bit more scenery in the movie but by then everybody old.

Having said all that I love the series

The dialogue could really thick, but if you can get past that you realize the dialogue is amazing

Al Sweargean’s arc from villain to anti hero was one of the best character arcs in tv history
