The Wire and The Sopranos get a lot of praise in the Film Room, but Deadwood seems to get overlooked out of the early 00s HBO renaissance. Hell I think I’ve seen Six Feet Under get more mentions than Deadwood
That’s what I meantDeadwood gets mad love here. It just doesn't really generate a ton of convo.
That’s funnyDeadwood was fire as fukk. i tried to rewatch and it def aged but if you havnt seen it, do it
cinematography. it looks dated compared to newer showsThat’s funny
A show set in the 1800s has aged
Gotchacinematography. it looks dated compared to newer shows
With the movie finally coming out, there really isn't much to talk about or any narrative points left unanswered. Plus the genre itself doesn't generate convo like crime dramas or Sci-fi/fantasyThat’s what I meant
The actor Timothy Olyphant got better once he got gig on Justified, but I agree he was the weak link in the castthe actor who played the sheriff was trash
it was cringe everytime he was on camera
