I just got hired for a really good job with a local city government. Praise the Lord -- I never been a very religious man but I prayed hard over this one

I start in 3 weeks -- city 100% covers medical care. got a great pension package that will let me retire by 55. Dental is only about $20 out of pocket per month and vision is $40 (but I dont need vision right now).

I feel so -- I haven't had any sort of health coverage since college. I couldn't afford to pay for private insurance. Haven't had a physical in two years

congratz man. My plan is similar to yours. Medical dental vision paid for 100% 401k match, pension, yearly bonus, company park access (with a pool and gym), I opted for a PPO not HMO though. So i pay like 80 bucks a month out of pocket, yearly deductible of 2k then 100% coverage (but also have health spending account maxed out so really no out of pocket costs).

thats good shyt breh. The dental and vision 100% covered is a nice lil touch. I'm going the HMO route. Blue Shield.

Got a nice pension set up too.. this california public employees retirement shyt. Not even exactly sure how it works yet. I have an 8% contribution, which the city covers fully and then pays their own contribution to it as well
