Not on scale with the US. By the time period when the slave trade really picked up in the Americas Spain was broke. Intermixing also probably masks the current population I would assume.

I think there used to be a lot more blacks than there are now, they got bred out. I think some nation-wide Mexican genetic studies showed about 5% african influence, but I could be wrong.

They talked about this on that PBS special Black in the Americas, but half of yall were avoiding it because they were talking about the mixed ancestry of most black in the Americas and not focusing solely on the African roots.
