Why is TSC & the IWC Hyping Wardlow?

I was looking forward to the Punk match to see what this dude was about. This shyt was average as fuxk. Everything about him is basic.

Basic move set.

Basic big man.

Basic gear.

Basic personality.

I’d rather watch a Drew Macintyre match.

His power bomb is weak AF. I’ve seen light heavyweights do better.

Hobbs > Wardlow. I haven’t seen much of Hobbs, but his match with Punk was way better.

I feel like y’all just hyping him because he’s a size guy.

edit: just watched Hobbs/Dante and I stand by Hobbs > Wardlow. Hobbs should be getting that push instead of Borelow.

In fairness that match was cheap and poorly executed. They gotta book him better. He should be protected like the did Reigns for years until he's ready. The whole Punk is Bret thing is so far off its off putting and creating shyt homages/tributes only Punk cares about it.

He’s one of the few traditional big men that AEW has which makes him stand out more amongst the throng of small wrestlers on their roster.

Add that he isn’t trying to incorporate a flippy move set it sets him up to be overrated.

It tends to happen when a promotion goes all in with a "big" guy and gives him a monster's push. Only incredibly bad wrestlers aren't able to connect with a crowd with this kind of presentation, and Wardlow isn't that bad.

Considering AEW hasn't had this kind of thing on their TV so far, makes sense dude is getting hyped.

He doesn’t really have a basic moves set, he does other things but that wasn’t the direction of how that match was booked. MJF wanted him to punish and injure PUNK. He didn’t want Wardlow to have a “match” with him

Also to me that’s kind of a weird complaint cuz I thought coli liked more basic stuff the way many fake complain about Flippy shyt.

I mean he can go full Brian Cage but I’m sure y’all wouldn’t like that then
