Info on this subject is all over the place. I know employers are getting swamped especially when they post remote jobs. Then you have jobs like Pizza Hut where I literally saw an application on a 6x8 card when they were hiring. I know it's hard but I don't get it.

I work for a very large health care organization, and while we aren't letting anyone go, there aren't hella jobs available unless you're a clinical staff working in the actual hospital.

I work corporate remote, and I was looking to see if there was anything for me, and I didn't see much in my field.

Weird all the roles I see are health care focused but these are SaaS/Consulting roles. You in traditional healthcare or tech healthcare?

My corp, has a hiring freeze roght now.

I work in finance for major corp, my company is prepping for a possible recession early 2024, so therefore they aren't really hiring.

My guess is alot of other companies are doing the same right now.

Plus, unfortunately alot of cities are just overcrowded now due to...i hate to say it, but immigrants and just ppl moving in mass to certain areas
I just heard yesterday banks especially smaller ones aren’t in the loans business anymore. No second homes, no investment properties, nothing. Their debt is hitting that 80-90% now.
:damn:
They expect interest rates to raise once or twice more and possibly no hikes next year to see what happens.
:mjcry:
Remember the FEDs say too many people are working.

I would hate to be on LinkedIn right now competing against 100+ applicants with similar/higher qualifications also using AI. Half the time those positions go to someone internally or a employee referral that didn't even apply.

I'm a hiring manager in healthcare and turnover is down for our remote department. Most employees aren't going anywhere unless it was their first job out of college and/or can get a huge pay bump jumping ship to another company. When we post a remote position it hits the application limit within 2 days internally. Most of these are entry level positions that start at $18-$20 an hour. Some people we interview are in higher positions within the company or elsewhere willing to take a cut to work 9-5 remote position.

All I been hearing on Social Media the past couple years is 9-5 is for squares, now everyone trying to come home before this recession really pops off:sas1:

I need to lock in myself over the next 6 months in my current role due to organizational changes. Not layoffs but these VP's and Directors are being pushed to cut costs, and they are not paying $55-$90k+ for people in these roles and the employees aren't earning their keep. Tech might be the exception if they are already in the company, but the "lazy girl", clock in 8 hours but only work 2 or 3 hours mentality will be dead by the end of next year. My department is pushing us to get low performers on the PIP Disciplinary path.

Hate to spend time and money into it, but might have to enroll at WGU next year and finish up this sorry degree to stay competitive before I get too old:wow:

So the company I worked for got furloughed in late July and basically let go of everyone. I’ve been applying to jobs nonstop on indeed, LinkedIn, ziprecuiter etc bro I’m not hearing shyt back from these applications. No emails, no phone calls nothing. I wake up everyday and submit 20 applications sometimes 40 a day. I even lied saying I was white when asking about race and still didn’t hear anything. Is anyone else struggling to find work rn?
This is the economy. Not the stock market. This.

Over 80% of the jobs posted on Indeed, Monster, etc. been filled, never was really available.

The wild shyt is if you have a security clearance and have certain specialized experience--You don't even have to search for jobs. Just post your resume on Clearancejobs.com and Dice.com and they will blow you up forever!
Same with indeed. Post your resume. Jobs will find you.

Yeah I fell into that trap for years.

Trying to have colorful designs and borders, trying to use tiny fonts and narrow margins to cram everything into a single page.

Now resumes are 4-5 pages minimum, with no fancy borders or designs. Just straight bullet points.
I don't believe this worth a damn :dead:

4-5 pages minimum to list experience and work history...fukk is you applying for? :heh:

Yeah that shyt should be two pages max for most people. MAYBE three pages if you're applying for a high level position and have decades of experience.
