Yea the pay is not bad
No bullshyt I got a job offer for damn near 50 a hour, but that shyt was way in the boonies :picard:
consider that shyt fr. cost of living ain't a joke once you get out the military man

also, you're probably vastly overqualified for a lot of shyt looking at intern jobs to a recruiter *specifically* because of the military experience ijs. these vet groups are..... they're not bad, but often times they're stuck in a bubble of only defense community type environments.

plus when you see folks talking about they put out 100s of applications largely the issue is on them

What positions are applying for?
Anything right now bruh. In the south so it’s mainly manufacturing or vending type shyt.

I got a shytload of experience/skill in tech/design/culinary. Just not certified or having documented paperwork to back me up exactly.

Some jobs I apply for I see why I’m not getting response but then it’s other shyt like manufacturing where I’m experienced as well and they just shoot the “moving on with other candidates” email.

Dude I know has none of the experience nor education I have and he got a phone interview at least lol happy for him since we came from same job but I’m looking at other side of coin like how the fukk did I not get anything but I’m rolling on man keeping my spirit up.

Get some cybersecurity certs and work for the DoD.
They'll work the shyt out of him for chump change as a Federal contractor.
:mjlol:
The Feds don't pay Federal contractors nearly enough for all the work they do. Now if he's gonna be a Government worker managing Federal contractors that's a different story.

It's funny how I got all these "labour" type job recruiters messaging me on LinkedIn and indeed.

By labour I don't mean proper trades, they say you're gonna work on security systems but you're only pulling wires, they say you're gonna be a framer or drywaller but you're a "Gopher'... Go for this and go for that and clean up our mess is wild lol

I keep getting rejected for I.T. internships, but I keep getting job offers for blue collar hands on work.
No matter how rough the economy is there is always a need for a career in the "trades"
Best advice I can give you hear is maintain whatever clearances you have and go down that path.

Plenty of work in ATL and Reston, VA in the tech space For folks with clearances or who can get/maintain them.

Both MS and Amazon have a large footprint there and if you can't get on directly you could always try and get your foot in the door as an Escort.
