Why is it ok for other minorities to have their culture bearing names but not black people?

I often see Navjat, Jhan, Juan, Hakeem, Adeskeski working GOOD jobs but as soon as a Sherinisha or a Ladarius walks in for a job , they getting the :leostare: and :lupe: and their applications and resumes getting tossed in the bushes regardless of their past accomplishments. I'm not advocating for us to keep naming our kids with the "ghetto naming guide" but is it so bad? Is it because most of the people with ghetto names end up dead/single mother and just poor all around? Just look at "Michael Brown", "Eric Garner", for reference. These are some of the most basic ENGLISH names around and look at what happened to them. Is it some guilty by association type stuff where a name just reminds someone of negative shyt? What's you guys take on it?

Because those names are easily to identify to a racist H.R person whos been told to filter out black applicants..there's no ambiguity

Also those names are associated with lower class black folks

The interesting thing is , some of those names are actually european in origin ( i.e "tyrone" is actually irish) but are now associated with blacks.
Yeah I was watching Spartacus one of the main characters name was "lacresha". Seems like anytime ANYTHING gets associated with us, it's tainted from that point on. shyt is crazy

See how you just associated those names with ghetto..... thats the same thing employers do...

You answered your own question. I dont know bout yall, but everytime i see the news and they show a mugshot of a black person, most times its a ridiculous sounding "ghetto" type name. But bottomline, the image of the black race has been successfully demonized throughout history, and continues to be. Mainly through media propaganda

GLOBALLY speaking, the black race is at the bottom of the totem pole image-wise.

Because those African-American names aren't really "culture bearing. "Sharkeisha, maybe, but thats because she is/was a significant member of the culture. :ehh:

Like, what the fukk is a LaDewon? or a Quaniqa? or a Tatalalicious?:heh:They're just random letters formatted into names that the parents probably thought of being "unique.":heh:

Your statements just proved that no matter what African Americans do; it is going to be mocked and ridiculed by people who think that are just plain old better than African Americans. Black people eat chicken. It is ridiculed. Black people eat watermelon. It is ridiculed. Black people name their children names like Denzell, Oprah or Shaquille. It is ridiculed.

Were Black people breaking the law or bothering anybody when doing any of those activities? No. However, whatever Black people do; it is ridiculed.

And if African Americans are at the bottom of some totem pole image-wise; then why are so many people, including White ones, always emulating Black Americans culturally?

You're kidding yourself if u dont think the black image is at the bottom. Its been designed that way. We now assist in the plan ourselves. Yea, we are mocked. But for how long? Look at Marky Mark, Vanilla Ice, Justin Bieber, Iggy Azealia, etc. Yea they're "black" when it benefits them, but at the end of the day they would NEVER choose black culture over the priveledges they receive from white skin.

I do agree with the rest of your post tho. The worlds eyes are on us. What we do will be mocked and copied. We're just cool like that. Something about our melanin i guess. :yeshrug:

But like Paul Mooney said, "everybody wanna be a n1kka, but nobody wanna BE a nikka"

And truthfully there isn't a damn thing wrong with that. White people are out here naming their kids Apple and Panda :yeshrug:

I mean on a personal level I'm not with the Tataneisha type naming either, but let's not act like antiblack racism isn't the only reason those names have a negative connotations and those 'unique' names don't.

Yeah that being at the bottom thing is probably associated with that whole slavery business. Nothing was going to change that except for African Americans ancestors winning the tribal wars back in Africa.

Now I will ask you something. If African Americans are so low and despised around the World, then why do so many people around the World, including White people, spend so much time and energy just focusing on roughly 45 or so million people? Have you ever asked yourself why is the American Whites so insecure around American Black people? Have you ever seen how Women tear each other down based simply upon insecurity? Well isn't that very similar to how White Americans act towards African Americans?
