Why is Google so bad at product releases? (Where the hell is the N7?)

I'm a fan of Google and all, but how the fukk are we in mid-July without a set in stone release date of the Nexus 7?

I can't be the only one who was when the specs came out only to be like "Isn't the new Nexus tablet supposed to be out now?" a few weeks later.

I read BI, Engadget, and BGR daily and the only small tablets that have even crossed my mind in the last two weeks are the new Kindle and iPad Mini. I haven't seen a single ad or any promotion for the N7 in like 2 weeks.

Google pulled the same thing w/ the G Nexus phone...that phone coulda crushed the buildings but they let Verizon play them by running RAZR ads 24/7.

Sales and Marketing guys at Apple have to be at these guys consistently.

Umm the Nexus 7 was released this weekend. GameStop had them in stock.

I agree though their marketing sucks. Google acts like they're ashamed of their products.

I know breh but it's not an "official" release. Gamestop had 'em and a few got out but other retailers were out and some others actually got the word to not sell the ones in stock.

I don't understand why this is so difficult to get right for a company with so much $$$.
