Why is Andrew Luck getting a pass?

He has played horribly this season culminating in a 74.9 quarterbacking rating and 55% completion rate. By all accounts Luck played like one of the worst QBs in the league. He starred in 7 games yet only played well against Denver, and this was after sitting for a menagerie of games over "injury". More than likely the Colts coaching staff are protecting Luck's reputation and he is being given time to get better. Maybe he will get better, maybe he won't, but were is the censure, criticism and doomsday predictions for the former #1 pick after essentially getting benched?

Undoubtedly Luck will get another chance next season to play--unlike certain other QBs who will go unnamed--and reclaim his mantle.
