People keep bringing up Russell Simmons does realize that he goes back and forth between the states and not over there 100% right?
All the news I have been reading says he was been staying over there, and hasn't been back to the US in a while.

If he really wanted to confirm his guilt, he would flee to Bali. There's no coming back from that. He probably feels like he can beat whatever charges will be brought up against him and if he chills for a while, the media frenzy will calm down and he can go back to operating as usual.
i dont think public perception matters at this point. if he could get out of the country and argue his innocence from bali, i imagine he would. but like @Gloxina said, feds have probably told him to keep his ass in the states.
