If I recall, WNBA doesn't generate profits anyway. Its more of a "good faith" type thing to give women a lane to be in.

I've watched 3-4 WNBA games in my life and tbh, they were just a notch above Varsity High School boys games in terms of skill. There is a reason they aren't getting paid big money, and it has everything to do with being born a woman.

Even women don't watch those games religiously. Big 3 is more exciting. There are a glut of sports that women can compete in and its good competition, but Basketball just isn't exciting as a whole with them. They lack the physical tools to really

There are orders of magnitude of difference between how NBA effect local economies of cities that host them VS WNBA where most of the populace wouldn't even know they are there, and may not care if they did.
