When we thinc of grand parents we thinc of 50s+ but historically most ppl became grandparents in their 40s.

Most people are not becoming grandparents at that age unless they were teen parents, or their kids are teen parents. And there are the cases where the teen parents have kids who also become teen parents.

If you have kids in your early 20s then your kids do the same then you are a grandparent in your 40s
Because the low end of that assumes you both had children between 18-22.
The high end is your mid-20s each but COL has made younger people delay social benchmarks including parenthood. A 25 y/o parent isn't quite as common as 25 years ago.
