Why Doesnt The WWE Start Presenting NXT As A Third Brand, Instead Of Wrestling School??

even if they don't want to acknowledge it as being equal to raw or smackdown, they could at least treat it like they did the ECW re-launch.

they would have a better chance of maintaining talent, as well as recruiting talent, cuz its about to get hectic.

They do, Takeovers are at major arenas now and NXT is basically just ROH/Impact in their prime. The PC is like the non-televised developmental brand now and they developmental guys have their own house shows in HS gym.

They can’t get a tv deal for it. If they did, it would have been exactly like WWECW.

To me, it'd defeat the whole purpose... NXT basically builds certain people up to a point where they already have a rep and familiarity with the WWE audience once they hit Raw or SD... making it a separate brand would just have certain guys running in the same circle. They'd never get a shot to work with the upper tier, they'd just stay wrestling each other in what definitely would be known as the #3 brand in the company. It'd be "the C show", like back in the day when they did house shows and some poor city would only get to see Tito Santana in the main event, while other cities were getting Hogan, Macho, and Warrior.

theyre still running angles thru the training gym. like theyre some rookies learning to wrestle in the power-plant or something.
Bianca belair just ran up on mia yim while steven regal was pretending to hold a class in the ring.

and theyre still low-balling the takeovers as a minor league event. like when HHH shouted them out on raw, but still had to follow it up by claiming that the WWE event the night afterwards was even better.

with the bidding wars poppin off, this isn't an attractive look, seeing how NXT is usually the 1st show they put their new signings on. then you have the politics of raw & smackdown. I would pass.

it already is the C show. more like the C- minus show, seeing how they treat them as their minor league.

im saying, if they officially made it a major brand, the wrestlers wouldnt be stuck there. they would be apart of the annual draft and wrestlers would jump to NXT the same way wrestlers leave.even if it was a step below raw/smackdown like the WWECW. cuz NXT basically seems like what they were tryna do with the failed ECW re-launch.

they could have wrestlers from the "upper tier" shows jump to NXT, the same way they jump off of it. this would especially be good for the guys who either aren't doing much on raw/smackdown, or are just sitting in catering. basically a bunch of people who are on their way out once their contract expires. not to mention the main eventers that are just floating around. if they treated the NXT belt like an actual world title, they could've easily just sent dean ambrose over there and let him do his thing. sorta like how big show, kane & them would get runs with the ECW title. but since NXT is seen as wrestling school, they left dean with no other choice but to leave the company altogether.

and NXT wouldn't have to change anything. they just need to boost their status. that way it could really be the renegade brand that they try to sell it as.

It’s basically WWE Indy. :ld:

Love going to the house shows when they’re in the area.

but they don't advertise it as such. they sell it as a future stars minor league show instead.

you have guys who are more accomplished than half of the main roster wrestlers, being presented as rookies in training.

im just saying they need to ditch that, and truly sell it as a WWE Underground product.

im not suggesting any changes besides that.

I really don’t see them as rookies. They’re just trying introduce them to a wider, unfamiliar audience.

About 30% of the roster are actually rookies.

It's still treated like the red-headed step child because they never truly acknowledge NXT title reigns and such on Raw or SD.

One example is Charlotte is already a 9 time women's champion because she won one in NXT but all you hear them say is she is an 8 time champ... for now.

That and the "first time ever" crap, like Becky and Bayley, since they've wrestled at least 2 times 1vs1 in NXT and other times in multi-person matches.

you don't see them as rookies because you already knew who they were before they signed.

and the general WWE universe audience still doesn't recognize them when they jump from NXT to raw or smackdown. so whats the point?
plus the crowds are also dead when they run 205 live in the same venue as smackdown, and when 205 wrestlers have matches on the pre-shows.
