Why doesn't the sitcom/show "Roc" get more accolades?

i know there are heavy weights like the cosby show and fresh prince

but when everyone else mentions living single, a different world, etc i think Roc is up there it had comedy and drama/life lessons and it was probably the most realistic show out ....homie was a garbage man :damn:

where does it rank among the shows you grew up with?

its in my top 10 :leostare:

I felt that maybe it was too UNREALISTIC. First you have a black man that is married without any kids. He's working, not gay, has a working wife who isn't a disgrace, has his alcoholic gambling addicted brother living with him like if they Latino, and he even lets his dad live with them on top of that. Roc digging through trashcans for musty used mattresses like hes Courtdog, its amazing there wasn't more domestic disputes arising from an environment like that. Dad was always just hanging out in the living room. Elanor would of told Roc its either they go or she does. I bet Joey would of smashed eventually

It was too Black for BET:skip:

I always thought Roc never got its deserving props. I remember the episode when his stepdaughter

friend got killed by the school's gangbanger, and he did a PSA at the end and saying: 'We are killing ourselves faster than it took the KKK to do in 50 years' :ohlawd:

Just look, how relevant that statement is now, especially what's going down in the Chi :noah:
