why does hollywood cast BIRACIAL people as BLACK people?

Never understood why this is done, its never done in european movies.

so example... the new chris rock movie, the parents are dark black people, yet the son is cast as a biracial light person, why? especially when the sister is also pretty dark

then we have the cosby show, why does bill have biracial daughters if he didn't cheat in the show?

two of the daughters damn near white.

the list goes on, but why is this?

The same reason that they cast the whitest looking Indians possible. Even one of the recent Miss Indias admitted that she was too dark to be cast in Bollywood. Sadly colorism is a real issue in every society.
