Why do some people not want NEW CONSOLES?

i can't seem to understand this, why would some people be so objective to new consoles being released? especially after such a long time since new consoles were last released? if not like they HAVE to buy the new console.

Well, that's true but maybe they feel the old consoles will stopped being supported heavily if new ones are released and developers will focus on them. Or perhaps they'll get shytty ports of games on the newer consoles. Just my guess.

sony have already promised 10 years life span, and ps2 was going strong way into ps3's life cycle.

false! just look at battlefield 3, that was maxed out to the fullest and it was still ass compared to the pc version.

even games like mass effect max out current consoles.
