:what: This shyt doesn't make sense at all. Every time i decide to eat healthy I end up thinking about food constantly even though I'm actually eating more calories, Yet when I'm eating like shyt I barely think about food.
A few days ago for example I had a simple McDonald's breakfast at 9am and I didn't eat again till 3pm when I had Coke, 2 kick chicken and potato chips. In the evening I had more Coke and some rice. Pure junk food.

Yesterday I decided to eat healthy and here's what I had:
8am
Oatmeal with milk
2scoop protein shake
Cashew nuts

12pm
Brown rice, chicken and veggies

3pm
3 eggs
Veggies

6pm
Can of salmon
Avocado

8:30pm
3 scoops protein shake
Peanut butter

I also had some oranges, and a banana.

Now this is apparently more healthy, right? and way more food than when I was eating junk yet I'm constantly starving and I keep looking at the time waiting for my next meal :dahell:

I've put this all on fitnesspal and I'm eating 2300 calories a day weighing 205lbs. Can anyone tell me what the fukk I'm doing wrong?

After 3pm what your eating wouldnt satiate me tbh unless you getting a shyt ton of veggies you just wont feel satisfied.

Swap the evening protein out with some actual food? :yeshrug:

Maybe you need to drink more water. How much are you currently drinking? Also I read that when you start actually eating with a diet in mind your hunger cues are all out of wack cause your bodies not trained to only eat at certain times. Really sorry if that's bro science I just read it on the internet so it could be complete bullshyt.

Eat a meal at 8:30 pm instead of the protein shake. Also If you're hungry eat more vegetables their low in calories. For breakfast I'd eat the oatmeal with water and cut out the cashews. Have the 3 eggs and a salad if you want. Or 2 eggs and a serving of rice. Then later at 3 after you've had the 12 a clock lunch have the protein shake you wanted at 8:30pm. At 6 eat chicken, rice, and vegetables again. Or have the salmon with the avocado over some rice and cut out some of that fruit. at 8:30 you can have some fruit with greek yogurt I don't know how many calories you'll have left for the day.

Years of bad eating habits is hard to break. At first it will feel like you are struggling to stay full. It's like working out. If you don't work out often then get back and go hard you're going to end up sore until you get used to it again. Your body needs certain nutrients to function properly. You're on the right path. Eventually your healthy menu will feel like a lot of food.

Also like mentioned in previous post drink lots of water. Even if you think you drink a lot now drink more cause if you were drinking enough you would feel full with the healthy meals you're eating. And I would get rid of those protein shakes. Get your protein other ways.

Maybe your body wasn't working right when you were eating junk food so your hunger response wasn't working to where you were malnourished and you body didn't let you know by sending the hungry signal.
Maybe when you switch to eating healthier your body wakes up/starts working better and is desperately trying to get you to eat the nutrients it needs after so much abuse with junk food/drinks.

I think it's psychological. Your mind wants what it can't have, your mind knows you want to change your diet and now wants to stop thinking about it so much, as you did when you ate junk. You're more conscious now and it probably feels limiting. Takes some brainwork to change all of that

It's actually simple. You need to eat more protein and drink more water. Especially if you work out. Cottage cheese/greek yogurt and fruit is a cheap easy snack that won't throw off your diet goals.

Another thing I want to add

After you're meal is over and you've had some water give it some time for that hungry feeling to go away. Sometimes you have to wait a little for the feeling to go away cause you're not stuffing yourself.
