Not just Shohei, Yamamoto never had any intention of signing there but dragged the Mets along so he could squeeze every last drop out of LA.

Cohen would've pushed the Soto bid to a billi if he needed to, he was not gonna be denied after the Dodger boys embarrassed him.

Ohtani wanted to win above all. Mets dont have the roster or winning culture to compete with the Dodgers.
