Why did the WWE get rid of their originial tag team titles?

It didn't make sense to get rid of the lineal titles that teams like Demolition the Wild Samoans the Legion of Doom held. Just like they got rid of the original Women's title. I think that was a major mistake on Vince's part to get rid of the titles with the history behind them.

you mean the nwa world title.
the whc does not have any connection to the original world title.
the whc, is just a title they pulled out a briefcase for cripple ache.
only thing it shares is cosmetics, with the original world title.

That title is not the real lineal title that was used in the NWA. That was created in a storyline by Eric Bischoff in order to give Triple H a title.
