Why did nikkas want Diggle to be Green Lantern so bad?

And to piggyback.... not only just that... the way he was introduced or at least hinted in later seasons it kind of set rumors in motion and gave people anticipation and HOPE.

I mean the black green lanterns first name is JOHN. What’s Diggles first name? Oh yea that’s right JOHN!!

And if I’m not mistaken, both have a background or are former Marines.

Truth be told the guy that plays Diggle to me would be a straight GL and if they would’ve did a spin off with him that show would probably do well
