:smh:

The vast, vast, VAST majority of them, especially lately, have been cliched horse shyt.

Saw Spiderman on Saturday and :snoop:

Movies aren't original anymore but we have an endless supply imagination to pull from :why:

The last classic movie I think I've seen was No Country for Old Men...no shyt.

And Christopher Nolan seems to be the only one doing incredible work...

Every other movie has practically been the same experience. :wow:

Please tell me I'm not the only one feeling de ja vu and massive boredom with these movies of late? That Spiderman movie really was the last straw :sadcam:

I feel you but Its mostly the big budget-big studio stuff that's regurgitated. Smaller studios and production companies still take risk

I wouldn't go as far as to call that a classic.

Dark Knight and Gladiator stand out in my mind

Well if you're just limiting yourself to whatever films the mainstream feed you then yeah you'll probably be disappointed with the quality.

Nolan certainly isn't the only interesting film maker working today.

You have PT Anderson, David Fincher, Guillero Del Toro, The Coens, Aronofski, Duncan Jones, Terrance Malick, Scorsese, Sophia Coppola, Andrew Dominik etc etc.

And that's just filmmakers working in Hollywood. If you aren't afraid to watch a film in subtitles then you've got brilliant cinema from all over the world.

Just be willing to look for good cinema, and not have it spoon fed to you.

It sounds like you need to step away from the movies that are getting a lot of attention and check out some foreign or indie films.
