why are black people more into yugioh then magic?

its just an observation i seen...usually yugioh card game, was really diverse with people from all different races and cultures, white, black, hispanic people playing


when i see magic: the gathering players play its all nerdy white guys in their 30s:dwillhuh:

it had a show when anime was at its peak here. i guess that's why.

i wanted to pull off some of the stuff they did in the show...but reality started to set in that it took real money to get the really good cards to make a really good deck.

i was on the tag force psp games like crazy tho:wow:

I'm black played magic as a teen... I bet if mtg had a hit cartoon or some shyt heavily marketed to black kids they would jump on it.

Don't know but,maybe you're on to something. I remember seeing a dude with magic gathering cards in a duel on the boss and he has costume of cloud with his buster sword and they were obviously white. Magic the gathering never had a tv show like yugioh, so it never caught the attention like yugioh did for others..

ive never played any of these games, but i can imagine that different audiences receive the marketing through different channels. it's probably mostly white people frequenting these table top game stores, so if you promote from within that scene, it will be a white scene. tv reaches into the homes of all consumers.
