In comparaison, Nazi Germany just lasted 12 years, and in 6 of these years, the country was fighting war. So they had 1933-1939, 6 years of relative peace

When Germany fell...........most of Africa was still under colonization. In fact African soldiers fought on the side of the Euro country that ruled them.......against the Axis powers.
South Africa falling was just one of the last steps of decolonization....that began with the Sudan, not long after ww2.

The same way that it was American jews here who lobbied politicians to enter the war (and help their fellow jews in camps)....it was a handful of AA elected officials who sparked the movement of the USA govt. to help dismantle Apartheid (and help their fellow Africans).

In both cases, without American involvement opposing them.....they wouldn't have fallen.
