All these neoliberal social policies that are sold as for the betterment of society always align with maximizing corporate profits.

I actually gotta respect the devilish ingenuity of crafting arguments that explain how every social ill can be best remedied by giving more money and power to corporations and successfully winning over most people.

it's because people are selfish and are fine with their lot in life as long as it is comfortable and they see people way worse off than them....
