I just finished this over the last couple of days and it wasn't what I was expecting
It's been a minute since the miniseries ended, so I'm dropping spoilers. Don't read if you want or need to catch up.
I did not see the Overlords looking like the devil coming
, nor the fact they were just doing the handy work for the Overmind.
After a period of utopia, children evolving to a higher level and mankind being left in the dust
I think they spent too much time on farmer Ricky and not sure what the point of him getting sick was and constantly going to his memory hotel, when his was was a down ass chick. He realized it in the end, but that story got tiring to me.
Also the parents of Jennifer were annoying and their adventures were

Young Milo hanging out with the bum in his car listening to music
At the end, I bet he wished he stayed with his Asian girl and just enjoyed the time he had left. His curiosity and thirst for knowledge got the best of him.
