Who's the hardest puncher at 175?

LHW is full of killers, a lot with really good punching power. How would you rank the following 175ers punching power?

Adonis Superman Stevenson
Sergei Kkklansman Kkkovalev
Artur BeterBeast Beterbiev
Bivol
??? And why

superman and kovalev are the prolly the hardest punchers out of a pretty good crop of punchers at that weight

but id go with kovalev because he handed out KO defeats to known 175 cats and has also ruined some fighters


joe smith jr i feel is a true wildcard at that weight...he has caveman power comparable to those 2 just not their skillsets lol

If we talking about close-mid range, just exchanges in general then I would pick Beterbiev

if we talking about sharpshooting and KOing folks with one shots then Stevenson

Kovalev is scary cause he is very close to the #1 place in both categories

I still need to see more from Bivol to say which category he falls into but I think he is more like Kovalev

So Stevenson has the best punch but Beterbiev is the most heavy handed, one of them is the best puncher at long range with one punch the other one is the best puncher at mid-close range. view it like Stevenson would be Wilder and Beterbiev is Joshua

Good call on Joe Smith Jr Pat....forgot about him. I agree with @reservoirdogs pretty much. Stevenson got the one hitter quitter, and BeterBeast has the heaviest hands. I think Kovalev is much more of an accumulation power guy.

kovalev is only the light heavy currently ive seen KO somebody with a jab...he has legit heavy hands for real

to me Kov has the heaviest hands. reminds me of yound ODLH because it doesnt look like he is even throwing hard. I questioned his handwraps in the past.

really it comes down to technique and Kov has great technique. Adonis does too and Adonis speed makes him a hard puncher.

I really like Bivol's technique. If he develops, it could be him. Its really subjective though.

As has been mentioned Stevenson has the strongest single punch with his left, but his power does diminish a fair amount on his other shots. Kovalev and Beterbiev have more power on a wider variety of punches.

My beef with Smith is he may be a hard puncher, but he struggles to land as easily as Kov and Beterbiev does, so his power isn't as effective.

And Bivol needs to sign up for VADA before his power gets ranked...

Stevenson has that eraser punch that could wipe out anyone in the division. His technique is textbook with that.

Beterbiev is heavy handed as hell even on the inside. Dropped Usyk in the amateurs. Dangerous down the stretch because he has good stamina and pressure.

Yarde hits like a tank and has good accuracy. Ridiculously quick as well.

Joe Smith got heavy hands. You can feel the weight when he throws.

Kovalev is probably the hardest puncher imo. He hurts you with every punch, had ward on shaky legs with a jab and KO'ed agnew with a jab to the body. Dropped some other guy with a straight to the body. Actually killed a guy. Has dropped every fighter he's fought and he has some big names.

Sometimes it's not just accumulation...kovalev has really fukked people up

Adonis Stevenson has the most power at 175 imo currently.


He's the only one to KO legit top opponents.

Superman - Dude has the hardest single shot (straight left) and is skilled enough to where he always finds a way to land it clean and it usually sets the tempo of the fight or ends it. I feel like his power is the most dangerous since he will make you feel it one way or another. Aint too many punchers out there that can land their money shot against everybody. He throws good body shots and uppercuts too, but his lack of a right hook is prolly why his left is so powerful.

Beterbeast - He got heavy hands and throws with conviction. He's the type of guy that will beat you up without even landing clean like that if you only looking to survive or just defend. When he does land clean you know that shyt will hurt you.

Krusher - He also has heavy hands, but his punches are sharper than Beterbeast. Kov has legit KO power tho. He's at his best when he gets to fully extend his shots. He's the type of guy you don't wanna catch the end of his punches. It's best to stay close and force him to shorten his punches.

Joe Smith- has good power too. That right hand is serious, but he lacks the skills to set it up ala Stevenson where he can get the most out of it. He's dangerous early tho.
