Dlo actually played worse than last yr 
i mean for one, look at that nuggets roster. they weren't that good. it was jokic and jamal. they had 0 defense.
The Lakers had some success last year with Rui on Jokic and AD helping from the weak side. Obviously Rui can't guard him one on one in the paint.

Way better perimeter defense in Carusp, KCP, Danny Green.
Plus Dwight could out muscle Jokic.

1. Both Bron and AD were top 5 that year.
2. The 3 big man rotation of AD, McGee and Dwight. (Mainly Dwight) made it tough on Jokic.
