yall still haven't shown what other team in the NBA is using 38M of cap space on a role player. The deal we gave THT was not the same, it didn't have $31-34M in tax liability attached to it like Caruso's would have.

Y'all complain about coach, GM and owner but I still haven't seen yall name a specific coach and GM that could replace Ham and Pelinka and do better in these circumstances, and no one is here is gonna name the owner who would spend $31M in taxes for Alex Caruso

Yall can cry all day about the Caruso shyt, no owner would've assumed that tax liability for a player of Caruso's caliber. Only 8 teams are paying the luxury tax and we're one of them. We were top 5 in payroll in 21 and 22 and 7th last year and projected to be 7th next season. We had 3 max players at one time just recently.

Yall want so bad for this to be a "too cheap issue" when there's bigger issues at play here. But yall wanna sound unbiased, i get it.
So the Warriors, Suns and Clippers don't exist? :comeon:

The most valuable franchise in the league and made $160 million in profit last year. It's not OKC. They're being cheap because the Buss family doesn't have sh*t else going on. They offered Ty Lue $17 million less than he got with the Cavs AND wanted to pick his staff. Franchise is run by people with zero basketball experience outside of being the kids of an owner. Stop caping for incompetent rich white folks.

Again yall can’t tell me which owner would’ve paid all that for Caruso. It’s as simple as that. The same summer we got Caruso the Clippers traded Pat Bev to save $30M in luxury taxes. No one is crashing out for role players no owner unless yall can name the owner

Like I said the Clips traded Pat Bev the same summer to save $30M in taxes

The Dubs going so deep into the tax is biting them in the ass and they will soon be cutting their bill. The Suns crashed out for Beal like we did for Russ, they aren’t going to win or even get to the Finals most likely.

In other news Bron is sitting out another big game, but hey if only we had a $200M tax bill for role players we’d be contenders :mjlol:

Dubs won a Finals paying $170 million in luxury tax two years ago. When LA decided to go cheap, they were one year removed from a championship. Stop making excuses for cheap ownership because three teams in their division including one in their city, will spend to the moon.

They created new luxury tax rules because of GS and LAC.

:what: When we won the title in 2020 AD's wasnt on his new contract yet, the very next season we were 5th in luxury tax.

And I love how you completely ignore the Clips have made moves to reduce luxury taxes as well. . Neither the Dubs or the Clips would've paid $34M in taxes for Caruso, period. Y'all keep avoiding that question directly because you know its true. You root for a team thats consistently top 7 in payroll and consistently has 2-3 max players. The problem is bigger than the cheap shyt yall keep whining about.

There's literally not ONE single season in the entire Buss era that we would've been contenders but we missed out because of being cheap. We've been #1 in luxury taxes plenty of times in their era. The only goalposts being moved are by you "I'm not biased" nikkas who dont wanna just admit nothing will change until Bron leaves. No coach, no GM, no luxury tax crashing out will change this. Bron is sitting out tonignt with a SORE ankle....FOH

Yeah, okay :mjlol: spend to the moon forever and ever huh? And oh yeah, since the Dubs became #1 in luxury taxes (2018-2019 season) they've won the same amount of titles we have and we beat them in a play in game. This year they are neck and neck with us. But y'all go ahead :dead:

The summer Caruso left was the same summer we got Westbrook. Our tax bill that summer went from $6M to $45M. Go up $39M in taxes to get another star player but according to y'all thats cheap because she didn't add another $34M on top of that for Caruso? So y'all expect Buss to go from $6M to potentially $79M in taxes in one offseason to keep Caruso on a team that didnt even make the fukkin playoffs :mjlol: But Caruso would've made the big difference huh

You're quoting an article from a month ago after two straight seasons of barely .500 play. The Lakers were second in the West in 2020-21 coming off a title until LeBron and AD got injured. Completely different situations but I'll let you cook. :mjlol:

These teams have to curb spending now because of the more restrictive luxury tax penalties for roster building. Of course, you know that but are choosing not to mention it. :mjlol:

Bringing up Rat Bev like he hasn't been washed for years while Caruso was entering his prime. :mjlol:

When the Warriors and Clippers will spend twice that, you're damn right I'm gonna have an issue with them cheaping out. Meanwhile, you're running around here like McMenamin making excuses for the most prestigious franchise in the league saving money. :mjlol:

LeBron prints money for them after Kobe doing it for two decades and they have the best TV contract in the league. Ticket prices in another galaxy compared to teams like the Pistons. :mjlol:

Going from $6M to $45M in taxes in one offseason to appease your old ass star player only to miss the playoffs and win 33 games is "saving money' now :wow:

and they responded by acquiring westbrook and raising their tax bill by over 7x. You act like they cut payroll that summer:mjlol: but I'll let you cook while Bron sits out with a SORE ankle in a big game
