Can't blame him. No alltime great would be happy with a roster like this.

How many of these dudes would even be rotation players on other teams?

Not to mention Bron & AD flat out aren't 1st tier options anymore. Bron can't carry a team anymore...not on an every night basis...and passing the "torch" to AD was a bust. AD can't dominate on a night to night either. He needs a pg on his team who can shoot/score and spoonfeed him while attracting enough attention to open the lane for him.

And Reaves the 3rd option just isn't good enough.

After that Roster is gawd-awful. DFS is a nice role player but he needs to play with talent to be effective. Max and Knecht are gonna be good players but right now just too limited and inexperienced. Team literally only has 3 players that u can rely on every night:snoop:
The bolded is the most important but people aren’t talking about it.

Crazy how having two of the Top 15ish contracts in the NBA constrains the rest of the roster :ohhh:

Reality is Reaves providing his value on his contract is saving this team from being a complete disaster
LeBron gave them so much cap room to work with by taking a paycut and only having his son on a minimum though. :troll:

The roster is fine.

Bron makes the most money. But then wants players as good as him and/or better to be there

It is on him and AD to do their thing and impact winning on a nightly basis

Bron is still a top 15 ish player....but he needs to be closer to top 5 for this roster to be successful. So in a way he's isn't worth the money. But his starpower is still so great and still makes the franchise a ton on his merch and overall presence that he has to still be paid max money.

It's slowly becoming an awkward situation.

We hired Bron's podcast partner to be the coach and drafted his son who sucks and you somehow think this situation is tailored for AD to carry the torch :dead:

Drafting Bronny at the end of the draft has no bearing on if AD can be a number one option. He’s a robin.

How? When he’s literally being paid the 14th most in the NBA

Yall do realize that just if Bron took a $10 mil pay cut doesn’t instantly translate to $10 million to sign a player. Thats not how the salary cap works

This thread loves overrating AD to shyt on Bron and that’s funny to me.

Anthony Davis is the most overrated superstar in the NBA and after years of watching this team I’ve realized he is the true problem and no amount of roster makeovers will fix it.

On average roughly 70 percent of ADs scored field goals are assisted. “Run and dunk man” Giannis is only assisted on about 35 percent of his shots. I’d be willing to bet of the 30 percent that are unassisted a good chunk are also just offensive putbacks. In other words, ADs offensive bag is very limited.

People have the perception that Giannis is unskilled because he looks a little stiff while someone like AD looks fluid but in reality AD could only dream of being as skilled or offensively impactful as Greek. Giannis is actually the best mid range player in the NBA this year statistically and continues to evolve his offense every season. I can’t say the same for AD.

AD is not physically dominant enough to impose himself on defenses like Shaq and Greek. Nor is he skilled enough to take what the defense gives him like Jokic, Embiid, Greek again.

You give him space to shoot the middy, he can’t hit consistently.

You feed him in the post and tell him to hunt his matchup 1 on 1, he can’t produce consistently. How many times have we seen this guy get wrecked by supposedly “inferior” bigs like Sabonis and Zubac. For all the slander folks love to give Embiid, one thing I can say is that he shyts all over Jokic every time they face off.

You tell him go iso, he doesn’t have the bag to do things like go for mid range pull ups consistently.

He gets doubled in the post and he’s not a good enough playmaker to make defenses pay.

Even his FT shooting has regressed, at least points from FTs used to mask how bagless he really is.

When was the last time you watched LA play a team with an elite big and felt confident in ADs ability to outplay his matchup?

Have you ever watched the Lakers enter the 4th facing a deficit and thought to yourself “it’s ok we have AD?” :mjlol:

Part of the reason it feels so hopeless to watch this team when they go down big is because if Bron doesn’t have it going, that’s it. You can’t force feed AD the ball and watch him generate offense possession after possession the way other elite bigs can.

The Lakers are paying nearly 200 Ms for a “first option” big whose offensive skillset closer resembles Clint Capela or Deandre Jordan than it does any championship caliber big man in league history.

Dude has never been able to lead a team. He underachieved in New Orleans and the best they ever did was 8th seed with a supporting cast that is comparable to what Jokic has right now in Denver.

Every year we’re told this is the year the Lakers give AD “the keys” and he unlocks his potential and every year it’s more of the same. If yall put your Bron hate boner aside, you’ll realize the man is 40 and there’s no reason the team should be so reliant on his offensive production. Even then there are countless games where he showed up when it counts or took over. AD can’t do that shyt.

The dude is FOOLS GOLD.

And that's exactly why we should trade him for picks, but you won't like that either :mjlol:
