Traded Jaden McDaniels for Dennis Schroder. Then offered Dennis 80 million dollars. Dennis turned it down. Then in the following offseason he lost Schroder in free agency.
Every other gm in the league signed their undrafted and second round players to 3 or 4 year contracts. That way if they end up being good. You have them under contract for cheap. Typically the third and 4th years are all team options. But this dumbass Pelinka never did that. So he had to pay Reaves, Max and THT early. And ended up losing Caruso. Reaves and Max would still be on their rookie contracts by the way. It's little things like this that keeps coming back and biting the Lakers in the ass.
Signed Rui and Dlo to multiple year million dollar contracts. Now he can't get rid of them. Because no one in the league wants them. They have no value around the league.
Pelinka is arguably the worst gm in the history of the NBA.
