Wladimir Klitschko vs. Bryant Jennings a no-go?

By Vitali Shaposhnikov | January 7, 2015 | 20 Comments

It was assumed by many, that Wladimir Klitschko vs. Bryant Jennings was a solid go for April 25, 2015, at the Barclays Center in New York.

Alas this happens to be far from fact. According to Berndt Boente, Wladimir’s manager, their negotiations with team Jennings have hit a wall, and team Kliltschko is still looking for an opponent.

“At this moment we are far from an agreement. Bryant Jennings was our top choice. Was. At this time, our negotiations have stalled. An opponent can be anyone who is available for that date and who will be approved by our partners HBO in USA, and RTL in Germany,” said Boente.

Aside from Jennings, there are only a couple other names that could potentially fit the bill: Shannon Briggs, or the winner of Stiverne vs. Wilder. Despite Jennings being a very formidable opponent, and Briggs trying to get that fight in ways unimaginable, I believe that despite the lack of his experience it is Deontay Wilder who would pose the most interest in a fight against Wladimir Klitschko.

“We want to figure our opponent out in the next two weeks, and hope to keep the date and the venue. If it doesn’t work out, it is possible that we will move the fight to Europe, or postpone it to a later date,” concluded Boente.

I wonder what the problem is?:ohhh:

Im gonna take an educated guess and say K2 wants to pay Jennings like a prospect and Jennings may believe he should be paid more:lupe:

Or he's second guessing this debacling he's walking into. Play the sidelines and aim for the Wilder/Stiverne winner and leave Wlad with either Fury or #LETSGOCHANP.

Jennings should wait, because the ass whooping Klits will give him...especially only 20 fights into his career....will probably hurt his confidence.

He has a better chance of defeating the winner of Stiverne/Wilder anyways and he doesn't have to worry about nothing, because he's the mandatory for the winner anyways:yeshrug:

That's a good idea, let him get some better experience and if he beats the winner of that fight, he'll have a better shot at wlad(he'll still lose) and would get a higher payday.

Wlad will ruin his confidence like he does to so many.. wlad keeps fighters from becoming great.

If I were him I would just avoid wlad until a huge payday

K2 is known for low-balling fighters against Wlad, this is probably nothing different although the fight will be in the States...

I'd wait out the winner of Stiverne-Wilder as well.......let Klitschko fiddle around with the likes of Fury, Briggs and the winner of Glazkov/Cunningham

WLAD will knock him out of he engages but judging by his fight with Perez, this shyt will be a boring chess match that Wlad will dominate.
