When I look at this team, I'm reminded of when MJ came back towards the end of the 1995 season before ultimately getting eliminated by Orlando in the playoffs.

Minnesota is the Lakers Orlando Magic.

They need that one signing that will get them over the hump and a full training camp.

Lakers might not need as much help rebounding the ball as they do some athletic rim protection, but they do need that lively body who is an irritant and will fight for extra possessions.

THE ONE SIGNING WE NEED IS THE RETIREMENT OF THE SELF-PROCLAIMED GOAT

Idk if you can afford to not have another really good guard. Bron most likely will need to be a firm 3rd option next year.
Reeves is starting to find himself in that Ginobli situation tbh

Manu was multi-talented offensively but when he's sharing the floor with Duncan (first option) and Parker (primary ball handler), his role was designer brand corner man... something he could do but ultimately a waste of his full capabilities. Hence bringing him off the bench and starting/matching a Bruce Bowen / Danny Green with Duncan and Parker.

Not so much in the regular season but in these playoffs you can kinda get that sense with Reeves when he's sharing the floor with LeBron and Luka. Not that LA necessarily has the depth for such strategies.

:francis: The truth is the modern nba is so trash, role players like this don’t even exist anymore.

Vets use to have these roles, but the league has pushed all those 32+ washed players out the league.
