I’m talking about how items in games are generally classified like this:

White or Green: Common item
Blue: Rare item
Purple: Epic/Legendary item
Gold: Exotic/Iconic/Unique item

I feel like this scale/color scheme is pretty much universal throughout games nowadays but who was the first to use it?

The first instance I can personally recall is Destiny 1, but I’m not sure if they were the first to use it or make it popular:jbhmm:
