Thanos has been lurking in the background of Marvel movies for a minute, and at the moment he's the main threat. I'm assuming he'll be killed off in Avengers 4 since it'll be the start of a new era or whatever. So assuming there are no licensing issues, who do you think should be the next "Big Bad" villain of Marvel? And by that I mean somebody working in the background whose plot develops over multiple movies.
Some options -
Galactus: Would be interesting to see if Marvel Studios can do movie Galactus right. Then again, almost anything would be a step up from being a cloud
Dr. Doom: Another villain that hasn't been done right on the big screen, and one of my personal favorites. Would be nice to get a movie Doom that's half as cool as the comics one.
Mephisto: Basically the Marvel version of the Devil.
Normal Osborn/Green Goblin: Primarily a Spidey villain, but he's pretty big time in the comics. Would be interesting to see Norman Osborn in the background slowly plotting and becoming the Green Goblin.
Kang the Conqueror: Could be interesting if done right. He's basically a conqueror from the 40th century.
Namor: Depending on the story he's sometimes villainous, and should be a reasonably big threat since he's the king of Atlantis. I've read rumors that he might be the villain in Black Panther 2 (Wakanda vs. Atlantis).''
The Skrulls: Would be pretty interesting to do a Skrull invasion plot. With heroes getting replaced by Skrulls 1-by-1 without anybody noticing for a while.
Personally I lean towards Doom. Galactus would be cool as a future threat, but he's more of a natural disaster than a villain and really doesn't have that much charisma or personality.
Skrull invasion might be cool too tho.
