Disclaimer: Really just showing love to both these dope ass songs (all 3 really)...

Sohh.... :old:

In 1981, this dropped:

And then in 1989, Richie Rich dropped this track, sampling the song above. You could NOT ride in any city in the Bay in '89 (EP) &' 90 (Album) without hearing this slapping out of cars with monstrous sound systems...

Then this happened:

The reason I formed 213 with Warren G and Nate Dogg is because Richie Rich had a group called 415. I was lovin' his style and voice which I incorporated into my style when I first started rapping."- Snoop Doggy Dogg

And in 1993 Snoop dropped this classic (shot out to the cassette tape crew, this wasn't on the CD):

Notable spots in the songs:

S&B:

... but yet and still...

.. My Zapco hitting so hard the lights clipping... (if you know, you know)..

.. Double R, tell that hoe to make like the mothafuc*in Duke Boys and crawl through the muthafuc*in window...

:pachaha:

G&H:
... but yet and still...

:pachaha:

The whole damn song is nuts.

Shot out to RR and Snoop for freaking this track...

And yeah, :old:

both classic but I give the edge to Snoop for it being a freestyle (I think)

Both Snoop and Richie Rich got a top 5 GOAT rap voice:wow:

@CSquare43 you know you can't compare.

Cats was throwing linn drums over samples, mixed it and called it a day in the mid 80s.

Dre really took the interploitation of the sample and made his version.
