I was JUST reading something about Akon and Lady Gaga the other week, how Gaga was having trouble finding a style when first getting signed to Akon's label on Interscope. Akon and RedOne gave her Just Dance and told her to write something for it. Akon originally featured on it, and when he showed Iovine he wanted to give it to p*ssy Cat Dolls. But Akon said nope this for Gaga. Then Universal wouldn't clear his verse, so he had this dude sub in. Royalties must be good to this day.

But yeah nothing special about him, easy to see why he didn't have a career apart from that and the song in OP. (Akon's pen anyways)
