The Blast was a breath of fresh air, great stuff still play that album

Rawkus was on a roll, only misstep they made was signing and shelving Kool G Rap. they fukked up a good chunk of his career

The video for blast is classic, one of the best i've seen.

also, tek>>>>>

Tek and Kweli sitting in the rain, spitting that realness.

I remember when it all started
Back in the day when me and moms first parted
Hi-Tek from the beginnin I stayed advanced
A young chameleon, adapt to any circumstance
Peep game nikka never been a lazy nikka
Stayed on my hustle concentrate to get the paper bigger

Man, can I relate :wow:

Rawkus had a great run, GOAT underground label IMO. Mos Def & Pharoahe Monch were in their prime and almost unfukkwithable lyrically, Hi-Teknology, Soundbombing (1 & 2) and the first Lyricist Lounge were dope compilations, Pharoahe's Internal Affairs, Company Flow's Funcrusher Plus, Black on Both Sides, Train of Thought and Black Star are all certified hip hop classics. It's a shame what happened to the label.

Yeah this was a great run by Mos/Talib and Hi Tek. Black Star album is actually the worst of the three. They just kept on elevating.

I was honestly too young to even care. Obviously now that I'm older I appreciate those albums and shyt, but at the time I really ain't care breh. I thought music was just fine and didn't need "saving"... I remember me and my dudes used to sing Oh No on the school bus tho.

6th grade :wow:
