I think its fair to say Guts from berserk takes the win.

Born from a corpse, was beaten, abused in every way and fought for his life every day as a child.

Lost his arm and just replaced it with one that has weapons on it. Had to watch helplessly as his best friend turned on him and raped another one of his friends. Almost anything you can think of that would shatter a man's spirit didn't stop him.

Only other person I can think of that comes close is probably vegeta.

I haven't watched as many anime or read as much manga as many of you here, but since anime does tend to touch topics that regular US cartoons usually won't (i.e. more adult topics), there are plenty of opportunities for the characters to get severely beaten down by society and then come back better than ever. That's very inspirational.

I've been watching "Remake our Life" this year and that has tons of inspirational moments.

Based off nostalgia though, when the first bars hit on the 1st season Pokemon theme, that's inspirational as fukk! Ash was that guy that would-not-quit until he was "the very best"

Also, Season 1 of Promised Neverland was very inspirational, and it could've gone down in history as one of those series if they hadn't fast-tracked it in season 2.
