This interview is what inspired this thread. It had me thinking about rappers that were considered around the same level. Ace Hood def. more lyrical, but I thing OT got more money.

In terms of mainstream success and notable hits, Ace Hood generally had a bigger impact on the charts compared to OT Genasis. Here's a breakdown of both artists' success:

Ace Hood:

  • Most Famous Hits:
    • "Hustle Hard" (2011) – This is his biggest hit and was widely popular, especially for its remix with Rick Ross and Lil Wayne.
    • "Bugatti" (2013) – Another massive hit, featuring Future and Rick Ross, that became a club and radio staple.
Ace Hood had multiple projects and songs that resonated within the rap community and achieved a level of consistency in releasing music that performed well on both the charts and in the streets.

OT Genasis:

  • Most Famous Hits:
    • "CoCo" (2014) – This was OT Genasis's breakout hit and is his most well-known song.
    • "Cut It" (2015) – This single also gained significant traction and was popular on both the charts and in clubs.
While OT Genasis had a couple of very notable hits, Ace Hood had a longer career with a wider range of hits and collaborations that charted higher over time.

I listened to about 20 minutes seems interesting. This Texas Georgia game is getting interesting. OT probably has more money. I'd rather be signed to Busta Than Khaled...

I'm not sure what the best measurement to see since they are close. I looked at the Spotify views and it looks like OT has higher numbers on 3 songs but Ace Hood is more consistent in the top 10. A lot of Those Ace Hood songs are inspirational type songs.
