Just wow .....

this was really disgusting..... I almost just turned it off the first time I saw it.... Just trampled on their civil rights with no fukks given... This will be an embarassing civil rights law suit against Dekalb County...

The 4th amendment was completely trampled on by these ignorant officers....

The scary thing is that these officers were seriously acting like everything they were doing was within legal criminal procedure eventhough they knew they were being recorded .... :wow:

All that for a 15-day late payment on a fine of $1,000........IS YOU SERIOUS?????

:damn:
I knew someone that had the same thing happen for not paying parking tickets!

That kid in the video talked too damn much. He could have exercised his right to remain silent. He was giving them all types of information about himself. The police can't do shyt but arrest him, it's up to the prosecution to charge him. Police are nothing but security guards for the government who take their job too seriously. They may try to trump up some charges but, if you play it cool, be quiet, and go along with them, they can't get you charged with anything if you didn't do anything illegal. All they can do is try to scare you. The people you need to be scared of, are them damn lawyers.

Did they have a warrant?

They apparently had an arrest warrant for the mother for being 15 days late paying a civil judgment against her.

During that entire 19 minutes, I did not once hear the police once say that they were here to arrest the mother on a valid arrest warrant.

They kept on banging on the door and yelling the wrong address at 2 am in the morning when they tried to execute the arrest warrant. They could not kick the door down because they only had an arrest warrant for the mother, no valid search warrant and there was not any exigent circumstances to allow a warrantless entry into the home (like they were a danger or the mother was trying to destroy evidence).

They had no right to enter their home period even if those boys did open the door, that is still not consent for them to enter their home.

Other than a personal vendetta against the mother, It is beyond me why this couldn't wait until the morning.

The fourth amendment clearly gives U.S. citizens the right to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures.

Defintely overstepped their bounds. But the reason they do things this way is not to terrorize that family specifically, it's to terrorize the community. It's to send a message about challenging authority and now bowing down.

I didn't hear it was well, that's why I asked.

They do this everyday all day to all races. See above. It's an intimidation technique.

See above. Happened here near where I live. They learned that this old white lady while selling his prescription pills to people around the neighborhood (obviously a crime, not arguing that). Well, it turns out that the lady filed complaints to the police about people trying to break in to her house in the middle of the night. So, what does the police do? They go execute a no-knock warrant in the middle of the night. Lady got killed because she had a gun in her hand and feared for her life.

The fourth amendment clearly gives U.S. citizens the right to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures.

You don't have to tell me brother. I agree with you 100%.

I take it one step further, I feel that if any government employee is violating the fourth amendment, especially in such a volatile manner, the property owner should have the legal right to kill.

How long ago was this? Anybody got an update on it, like if the family filed a civil suit claim against them or anything?

These are some dumb asses in this video. all of them. The cops and the family. If your not going to comply then don't say anything to the cops. Let them kick in your door and arrest you and fight it our in court later. If they were not willing to take it that far, which the family clearly was not, then just open the door when they first knocked and comply. you can still challenge their actions later.

"as a blackman, yall just set us back 45 years" :snoop: c00nin country Bama tryin to please some white man somewhere

huge 4th amendment violation.
i dunno...them black dude did not get hit...and they kept making sure they hands was clean...the black cop knew the news would get out...

yall know how some white cops be acting with a false sense of chaos...shooting in situations when there is no need to, generally a lack of awareness and being able to handle a broad base of situation out in the field

what really is missing is an open line of communication...

police should think: what would the person I am going after think or do
the accosted should think: what exactly is going on

the mom, somehow knew it was her and kept saying she did nothing wrong...

really the cops should have grabbed a bullhorn and said: maam we have an arrest warrant, come out with your hands up...but she would have stayed indoors
