Who do y'all think will hang it up first between Cole, Drake and Kendrick?

Who will retire first?

If you asked me this 10 years ago I would've said Drake with no hesitation. I figured he would've slowly transitioned into Acting like many Rappers before him but it looks like he's got plenty of years left in his tank. He fully embraces the Rap Star image unlike the other two and he has double the workrate (no matter how uninspired a lot of those record are)

Cole has hinted at it during The Off-Season roll-out but that felt like a gimmick.

My bet is firmly on Dot though.

When you combine him increasingly becoming a hermit over the years, him completely shunning the conventional Rapper image/lifestyle, that super long hiatus he took and that ominous ass song Mirror ("I choose me, I'm sorry"), that feels like the only answer.

Honestly, the entirety of Mr. Morale felt like his swan song. Him finally getting over his savior complex, him rejecting the leader role thrust upon him by society, breaking generational curses etc. Felt like he was essentially telling us he's choosing his family over career.

That's just me though, I could be wrong.

Kendrick will "retire" for a while and make "event albums" like Eminem did. Will be more visible through PG Lang artists and "art" projects

Drake will keep rapping in some form like Jigga does. He will continue to try other genres and whatnot, may take a extended break but get back to rapping.

Cole will continue to rap about his middle school and high school crushes as a grown 40+ old man. fukking creep

Though I personally loved Off Season, I think Cole ready to hang it up right damn now. He seem like he gonna retire and go backpacking across Asia and raise mongoose or some shyt.

Drake is a rap capitalist and will rap until he stops making money and then switch up. Make movies or TV shows.

Kendrick will probably release albums every 5-8 years whether they sell or not, that boy using this shyt as a diary.

Once Drake ain't at the top no more he'll give it up

If his sales keep dropping he'll go back to acting

There are two kinds of people who don't retire: Rappers and wrestlers.

Kendrick wasn't supposed to take this long to come back. Had it not been for COVID, he would have dropped an album two years ago. I don't think he's going to wait another five years. He'll probably be more active now that he's off TDE and dealing with his own label. He might not be like Nas and put out new material every year, but I need more proof that long hiatuses are his thing now.

Cole's already been putting plans in motion to "retire," so that means he'll be dropping less frequently and focusing more on family. Once The Fall Off comes out, he'll probably feel more comfortable not being around all the time.

For better or worse, Drake's not going anywhere. I thought he needed a break a long time ago, but it might bother him too much if he's not relevant and not topping the charts anymore.
