Honestly, he should have been in Ghost as Tariq’s adversary as it would have made it more grounded and realistic compared to the people they put him up against. Not to mention the connection was already there between the two.
He did no worse than a lot of the other characters that got spin-offs that should have gotten killed off themselves.
We waited 6-7 years for that nicca to die and its the most satisfying death in the series. FUCCK DRE

I don't see what there is to gain from keeping LaKeisha alive. Her getting more screen time is one of the reasons the show declined.
Proctor absolutely would have been an asset if he was still alive. He could have been Tariq's lawyer instead of Davis. You could also put Elisa Marie in there and see how she fits into everything.
Dre killing Donovan was unnecessary, so I get that.
What I don't understand is that Courtney didn't know there would be a Power universe. Did they decide to do a spinoff after filming season six or was it already in development? The show doesn't even have a definitive ending. Tasha goes to prison and Tariq goes to college. There's no way Courtney wasn't told that Book II was coming up and she should start building up to that. The timeline doesn't add up.

More times than not, spinoffs typically don't get greenlit until the the last season of the show after the script has been written and/or already in development.
The problem with a lot of the characters she mention keeping alive is that it would have required them completely rewriting her favorite character as a couple of those deaths he played a major part in.
